Architectural project and interior design of the new Stardust* Studio_Loft_LAB. It will be a new space to work and live realized through the restoration and renovation of an old building (1945) completely realized on natural local stone (tufo), wooden roof structure (2 trusses) and Sicilian roof tile (coppo siciliano). The building was a traditional dismissed winery.
The volume of the building will be the same but with the project we add two mezzanines and a closed terrace obtaining a total surface of 210 square meters.
The project was developed with strict attention to the sustainability. We use only natural and local materials. The roof is redefined with a new system: naturally ventilated and well insulated with rock-wool. This system along with the walls and floor insulation, will allow an important energy save. The original roof tiles have been reused.
Solar panels will provide energy and warm water.
